Discovery Bar

Informal Brewer & Cidermaker led tastings scheduled throughout the week at the Discovery Bar in the CAMRA Village. The Discovery Bar tastings are organised to help you learn more about the ingredients, techniques and people behind Britain’s best beers and ciders. Experience the freshest hops and malts in our ingredients display and learn more about how you can craft the finest brews known to humanity, right at home with The Malt Millers, who will be on hand all week to answer your home brew questions.

CAMRA’s Cider champions have organised a mouthwatering evening schedule of informal cider and perry tastings too so come along and check them out.

Wild Beer Co. – Discover Thiols 

Thiols are compounds that are released from hops by specific yeasts and/or the addition of natural grape products during the brewing process. Thiols can contribute aromas that evoke white wines such as Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling or fruits such as gooseberry, guava, grapefruit, and passionfruit.

Anspach Hobday:

Beer: London Black  

Billed as the true craft alternative to stouts made by the large multinational breweries. London Black is Anspach & Hobday’s session strength Nitro Porter that takes inspiration from their flagship beer, The Porter. Creamy, smooth and truly sessionable.

Anspach & Hobday are brewing a special cask version of London Black for comparion with the kegged version. The latter is dispensed with Nitrogen gas which adds to the creamy mouthfeel of the keged version.

Siren Craft Brew – Time Hops project

Siren  have worked with various breweries in the US to create 4 Time Hops brews, beers that showcase the hops that changed the landscape of craft beer. Cascade, Centennial, Simcoe, Citra etc.
