Press tickets can only be requested by people over the age of 18 and does not provide access to staff areas. We have an exciting schedule lined up for Trade Day, so make sure to mark your calendars!

Wild Beer Co. – Discover Thiols -Unlocking hidden flavours in malts and hops – with Brett Ellis, Wild Beer co.
Thiols are compounds that are released from hops by specific yeasts and/or the addition of natural grape products during the brewing process. Thiols can contribute aromas that evoke white wines such as Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling or fruits such as gooseberry, guava, grapefruit, and passionfruit.

World’s Greatest Beers book launch

Meet the authors of CAMRA’s latest title, World’s Greatest Beers – which features 250 of the best beers from around the world. Sample some brews from the book and speak to the authors about featured beers from the book available at the festival. This is a great opportunity to feature the book ahead of International Beer Day (5 August)! Attending authors will include Pete Brown, Lotte Peplow, Emma Inch, Roger Protz, Claire Bullen and Jonny Garrett.

Rugby competition kicks off with ex-rugby player Tom May
Location: VIP Zone
Ex-rugby player Tom May will be joined by representatives from the beer industry to discuss the relationship between rugby and beer. The Q&A will kick off a week-long competition at the festival which will give visitors the chance to win £3,000 worth of sports travel vouchers which can be used towards any rugby travel packages including the Six Nations and official travel packages to Rugby World Cup France - complete with hotels, flights, transfers, and inclusions. Winners of CAMRA’s homebrew competition are announced
New to this year is the launch of the very first CAMRA homebrew competition, which will see entries from across 11 different CAMRA approved beer styles, alongside a special category for homebrewers to try their hand at the “Thank Brew” recipe developed by Fergus Fitzgerald of Adnams to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June, which CAMRA has support as part of its Summer of Pub campaign.
Head to the centre stage to discover the brewers of tomorrow with the announcement of the gold, silver, and bronze winners. Representatives from Thank Brew and Adnams will be announcing the winner of the ‘Thank Brew’ category and share an update on money raised and pints poured over the Jubilee Weekend. Please note that the Champion Beer of Britain announcement will not take place this year. This is due to COVID-19 restrictions which saw the closure of most beer festivals last year, where we usually run the regional Champion Beer of Britain judging sessions. The competition will resume as usual in 2023.
