How about you start by telling us about Dawkins Ales?
It began when the Matthews Brewing Co was established in 2005 in a farm workshop estate a few miles outside Bath. Dawkins Taverns was founded in 2002 by Glen Dawkins in Bristol, with pubs all strongly focussed on real ales and good times! Dawkins Ales acquired Matthews in 2010, and now Dawkins ales are available in many great pubs in the area.

Can you describe Dawkins Ales in three words?
Innovation, restlessness, craftsmanship.

What are your personal favourite styles of beer?
Depending on our mood: Session IPAs or a really well-balanced English Best Bitter.

Which of your beers is the biggest fan favourite/most popular?
Easton IPA.

Which of your beers would you recommend to a first-timer at your bar?
Bristol Blonde.

Best beer snack?
Scotch Egg (free-range pork of course).

If you could get one music artist/celebrity to represent your brewery, who would best fit your business and ethos?
Michael Caine (with a pint served “In a Thin Glass”).

If you could make a beer using any flavours, and guarantee that it be delicious, which flavours would you love to use?
Roast beef!

What are you looking forward to at the Great British Beer Festival this summer?
Pulling pints at our brewery bar during trade session!

What makes the Great British Beer Festival special, and what has motivated you to come this year?
The widest range of beers in a stunning location. It is the iconic beer festival for Britain.

What exciting things does Dawkins Ales have coming up?
