If you are planning to come to the Great British Beer Festival then why not attend one of our tutored tastings and learn to taste beer like the experts!
There are a variety of tastings, taking place in the evening or lunchtime sessions. You will be led through taste, look, style, history and other interesting information about the beers that you try.
This year's tasting sessions are listed below and places are available now to book online in advance. All sessions (excl. 'A Slice of Real Ale') are priced at £14 for CAMRA Members and £17 for non-members. 'A Slice of Real Ale' is price at £15 for CAMRA Members and £18 for non-members in order to cover the additional costs for the bread and food.
Directions to tutored tastings room
The tutored tastings will be taking place one level above the festival floor. Access to the tutored tastings room can be gained from a stairwell at the back of the hall. Please see the festival floor plan for the stairwell location.

'300 Beers To Try Before You Die!' by Roger Protz
In this session Roger will be discussing and tasting 6 fantastic beers from his best-selling book '300 Beers to Try Before You Die'.

'Champion Beers of Britain' by Roger Protz
Roger Protz, editor of CAMRA's Good Beer Guide, Champion Beer of Britain Judge and famous beer writer will take you through this year's champion beers including the ultimate Champion Beer of Britain which will be announced at the festival on Tuesday 2 August.

'A Slice of Real Ale' by Sue Nowak
Appropriate for celebrating CAMRA's 40th birthday, Sue will be creating a party feel atmosphere with this tasting. You will have the opportunity to sample 6 beer styles and matching bread. The breads will be made with the beer and served with different toppings to create a delicious canapés. This tasting will be in association with the Real Bread Campaign.

'London's Best Beers' by Des de Moor
Des will be selecting a variety of London beers from his brand new title, London's Best Beers, Pubs & Bars. Here you will be able to taste beers from a selection of old and brand new London breweries.

'Champion Bottle-conditioned Beers' by Jeff Evans
Editor of CAMRA's Good Bottled Beer Guide, Jeff will be showcase previous Champion Bottled Beers of Britain dating back as far as the 1990's. All beers are Real Ale in a Bottle accredited.

'Head Brewers'
Head Brewers from Wells & Young's, St Austell and Amber Ales will explore their delightful beers, showcasing a range of styles and strengths. This tasting will show that large, medium and small breweries brew an excellent range of beer styles!

Cider and Perry
Cider activist Ian White will be sampling a tasty variety of 7 ciders and 2 perries. His juicy selection will include an Eastern counties cider, a single variety cider, a full bodied medium West country cider and a rum cask cider. Book soon to avoid disappointment, only 30 spaces available.
